Allergies – better check out what’s behind it

30 percent of adults in Germany suffer from allergies. Simply treating the symptoms is not enough. Meridian therapist Jasmin Toth advises taking a more holistic view of the body. In this article, she explains what changes when we start to look at things differently.

Allergies can have many effects. For me, it started with something that seemed harmless from the outside: an allergy to my eyelash extensions. My eyes burned, swelled, and watered. Suddenly, I could no longer tolerate something that had always been a matter of course for me. Beauty was never just superficial for me. It was an expression. Identity. A part of me. And suddenly, my body reacted.

I wasn’t looking for an alternative. I was used to not tolerating things well. I had often reacted to cosmetics. So I just thought, “Okay. Now this too.” What really affected me wasn’t the product. It was that feeling of having to give something up again. Being restricted again. Being different from others again. At the time, I asked myself: Why does my body always react so sensitively? Why can I tolerate so little? Today, I would ask a different question.

Allergies are not just bad luck

An allergy is an overreaction of the immune system. The body classifies something as a threat that is actually harmless. But at some point, that was no longer the most compelling explanation for me. I began to look at my body more holistically. Not just on a physical level, but also energetically.

For me, allergies are nothing more than an energetic phenomenon. Energy flows within us. Constantly. When this flow is free, we feel stable. When it is disturbed, we notice it. Sometimes as inner restlessness. Sometimes as pressure. And sometimes as a physical reaction such as an allergy. From this perspective, allergies, intolerances, and sensitivities are nothing more than blockages in our energy system.

And blockages don’t just happen by chance. They are often caused by stress. By things we suppress. Fear. Anger. Overwhelm. Emotions that have no place to go. This often happens unconsciously. If we do this long enough, tension builds up in the body. And at some point, you are no longer in the flow.

Just ask, “What’s behind it?”

My eyelash extensions weren’t the real issue. Looking back, my allergy wasn’t an isolated incident. I was in a phase where I had a lot of responsibility. A lot was working. A lot was holding up. I wasn’t really letting go of much.

On the outside, everything was fine. On the inside, there was pressure.
And my body reacted.
Not against me. But to what had built up.
That was the change in perspective for me.
No longer thinking, “What’s wrong with me?” But rather, “What’s behind this?”

Identify the cause instead of lifelong renunciation

Of course, you can avoid things. Leave things out. Restrict yourself. Many people do that. But I wanted to know if that was all there was to it. If having an allergy really just meant: you have to live with it now. I began to work on the root cause, clearing my energy system and gradually releasing my energy blockages. Today, I can wear eyelash extensions again. And other allergies no longer play a role in my everyday life.

But something else is even more important: I no longer feel helpless. I have regained control over my body. I am more relaxed. More stable. More free.

Seeing allergies in a broader context

In my work, I see time and time again that allergies rarely occur on their own. They are often accompanied by stress, inner turmoil, or emotional issues. Sometimes we are aware of this, but often we are not. This does not mean that allergies are “imaginary.” It means that, when viewed holistically, everything is connected.

If we only look at the symptoms or the trigger, we see only a small part of the picture. When we begin to view the person as a whole, a different picture emerges. This change in perspective can open up completely new possibilities. A disrupted energy flow can regulate itself again. Blockages can be released. Tension can be reduced.

A different perspective on symptoms

Today, I no longer see symptoms as a disturbance, but as an indication. The body does not work against us. It shows us where something has fallen out of balance. Not every reaction disappears immediately. Not every path is straight. But when we start listening instead of just suppressing, something changes. My allergy was not a step backwards. It was the beginning of a new perspective.

Perhaps the change in perspective lies precisely here: not asking how we can combat symptoms, but how we can get back into our own flow. And sometimes that is exactly where real change begins.

How I work with it today

I have studied various methods intensively. I have attended courses, read books, tried out many things, and gathered my own experiences from all of this. This has resulted in my own approach, which focuses precisely on this energetic level. It is a clear, structured method that can be used to work through blockages step by step.

Practical. Applicable. Designed so that people can use it independently for themselves.
This work has proven effective not only in my own
history. I have accompanied many people in addressing their personal issues. And time and again, it shows how much can be achieved when we look beyond the symptom and resolve the underlying energetic blockage.

Without my allergies, I would not have become the person I am today. They have led me to where I am now. And even though I would not have chosen this path back then, I am grateful today that I was able to take it.
