Tested for you: „Night Body Serum“ from Moroccanoil

A body serum for the night is a different, promising approach to body skin care. This is far too often criminally neglected. However, just like the face, important repair and regeneration processes take place here while we sleep. The regenerating night body serum from Moroccanoil supplies the cells with highly effective ingredients: A combination of argan and tsubaki oil is rich in antioxidants that prevent loss of firmness and moisture in the tissue. Tulsi (holy basil) extract protects against damaging environmental factors, and vitamin C ester not only has a smoothing and strengthening effect on the skin, but also gives it a more radiant and therefore more youthful appearance. II first read the reviews about the night body serum on the Internet, which I take the time to do in advance for the sake of interest with most products, even if you have to make compromises in terms of authenticity. For example, the following is written about the body serum: “Sensational, I am now 56 and the first wrinkles are appearing. The serum has plumped up my skin again. I have now reordered it again. I wouldn’t want to be without it.” Another user from Italy commented: “Mi piace moltissimo, ha un profumo delicato, si assorbe molto bene e lascia la pelle morbidissima.” (“I like it very much, it has a delicate fragrance, is absorbed very well and leaves the skin very soft.”). I can’t find any negative comments. I’m curious to see what my verdict will be. A body serum like liquid gold However, the serum only looks like liquid gold in the tinted bottle. It flows out of the dispenser in a transparent and pleasantly sluggish way so that it doesn’t run through your fingers straight away. I breathe in the scent. Incredibly delicious, like a tempting dessert. This alone makes me look forward to my new skincare ritual every evening. Before going to bed, I apply a thin layer to the body. I concentrate mainly on the legs and arms, which are particularly happy about a more youthful appearance. To stimulate circulation, I massage the smooth serum into the skin in gentle upward movements. It is actually absorbed very quickly without leaving an oily film on the surface. So you don’t have to worry about leaving any traces on your bed linen. The skin feels wonderfully velvety-soft and nourished afterwards – even the next morning. I find it difficult to judge whether the skin is actually firmer after several weeks of use, even from a purely visual perspective.… weiterlesen

Set-Jetting: Travel To The Most Popular Places Where Films Have Been Shot

Set-jetting is the latest travel trend triggered by the popularity of streaming platforms and the rise of binge watching over the past few years. It highlights the places where films have been shoT. the team at BonusInsider was curious to find out where the most anticipated films and TV series of 2024 had been filmed. An example for set-Jetting: “Star Wars” fans are instantly reminded of the abandoned set of the Mos Espa spaceport, a fictional city from “The Phantom Menace” and “Episode II Attack of the Clones”. The city was built specifically for those two films and although it is in the heart of the Tunisian desert, it is extremely popular among tourists and fans of the sci-fi saga. Visiting the filming locations of iconic movies isn’t new but set-jetting has exploded in the past year and is likely to shape the travel industry in 2024 and beyond. Having our own guilty pleasures (Bridgerton, of course). BonusInsider compiled a list of fifteen new and upcoming titles and identified their filming locations to come up with a handy guide to the best set-jetting destinations for 2024. The Top 10 Set-Jetting Destinations to Visit in 2024 Sydney, New South Wales, Australia The first entry on this list is Australia’s largest city, Sydney, which has plenty of famous tourist sites such as the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Of course, the peak summer season from December to February is not recommended; a better time to visit would be March through May and from September to November. Movie enthusiasts know well that the city has been one of the popular filming locations for Hollywood productions because of its striking cityscapes and unique areas that surround it. One of the productions filmed here is the upcoming David Leitch film “The Fall Guy”, which stars Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. The action comedy used several filming locations across the city, including the pedestrian zone Martin Place, the Sydney Opera House, and the suburb of Kurnell. Some of the scenes were also shot at the Disney Studios, Moore Park in Sydney. One of the most anticipated premieres of 2024, “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga”, starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth, was shot entirely in the state of New South Wales, including its capital Sydney. Along with Kurnell, the other suburb that served as a set to the movie, was Melrose Park. The main filming locations, however, were all over the Australian outback such as the frontier mining town of Broken Hill, and the village of Silverton.… weiterlesen

Tested for you: “Vit C + Biobotox Serum” from Doc.Berger

Biobotox in combination with vitamin C sounds interesting. After all, both are helpers against premature ageing of the skin. The latter is not only known as an effective antioxidant that protects the skin from the “evil” free radicals. This is because these can accelerate the ageing process. Vitamin C is partly responsible for the firmness and elasticity of the skin. By stimulating collagen production. Ultimately, this helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Not to forget: The vitamin has a brightening effect. It has the ability to reduce hyperpigmentation and age spots and brightens the complexion. Biobotox instead of botulinum toxin? Biobotox is being hyped as a competitor to Botox therapy in anti-ageing care. But there is no comparison. While botulinum toxin specifically blocks the muscles and paralyzes them for a certain period of time, Biobotox primarily has a relaxing effect on the surface of the skin. The substance is a plant-based active ingredient such as spilanthol from paracress or argireline, an organic chemical compound consisting of six amino acids, which is why it is also known as a hexapeptide. Argireline is also known as “Notox” and is injected as deeply as possible into the skin using microneedling. However, you should never expect the effects of a Botox injection. But for those who are injection-phobic, it is a soft alternative to at least counteract fine expression lines. But that’s not all. The biobotox power serum also contains other highly effective anti-ageing substances. The first is ferulic acid, which has a similar effect to vitamin C (3-O-Vit.C). The two are a powerful duo that activates collagen production. Ferulic acid is an organic compound found in various plants, e.g. stinkash, dill, rice or sweet grasses such as wheat or barley. Purslane is also an active ingredient of plant origin. In German it is also known as purslane extract. In anti-ageing skincare, it is said to have pore-refining, rejuvenating, moisturizing and soothing properties. But more importantly: Purslane is an innovative time-control molecule that protects the telomeres, i.e. the caps of the chromosomes, and thus ensures the longevity of the cells. My test The “Vit C + Biobotox Serum” comes in a brown pipette bottle. This makes sense because vitamin C is extremely sensitive to heat and light. The liquid is also brown. Which I like less because I find the color very uncosmetic. But that is purely a subjective preference. I like the slightly musty smell even less.… weiterlesen

Tested for you: Facial cleansing mask “Purifying Mask” by Royal Fern

Time for a mask, now. Once a week it can be a little more. It’s mask time for me and my skin as a supplement to my daily skincare routine. I feel like a little extra care, my skin needs it. I prefer to leave the face mask on while I take a warm bath. It’s so wonderfully relaxing after a long, tiring day. Gel mask: blue first, then transparent This week I chose the brand new “Purifying Mask” from Royal Fern . It’s a gel mask that cleanses the skin and refines its surface. The gel comes out of a bluish transparent tube, which is also blue with a slight hint of gray. But don’t worry, you won’t turn into a blue smurf. Applied to the skin in a thin layer, the texture of the gel is transparent. It goes without saying that the face must be cleansed beforehand and the skin must be dry. The gel is super light on the skin. Nothing sticks. After about 15 minutes, I have the feeling that the product starts to tighten slightly on the skin. It doesn’t feel uncomfortable at all, but I think the application time is enough for me. Between 10 and 20 minutes is recommended. So I remove the gel with a damp cloth. Tip: The thinner the layer you have applied, the easier it is to wash the gel off. Clear, radiant skin Afterwards, my skin is remarkably radiant. It looks nourished and well moisturized. This is not always the case with cleansing masks, as they often leave an unpleasant feeling of tightness afterwards. A sign that the skin has dried out. The Royal Fern cleansing mask is completely different. The gel owes this care benefit to a mixture of natural extracts and skin-caring nutrients. Tranexam acid lightens and minimizes pigmentation spots, which are often caused by pimples and acne. White willow bark is a natural alternative to salicylic acid, a chemical substance. It acts as a gentle exfoliant, refining pores, fighting impurities and smoothing the skin’s surface. Niacinamide helps to regulate sebum production. It has an anti-inflammatory effect and can therefore reduce redness. As in all Royal Fern products from the Munich dermatologist Dr. Timm Golüke, it also contains a patented complex whose main properties are antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. I give full marks for a mask that cleanses my skin and leaves it radiant at the same time.… weiterlesen

Tested for you: Skin-friendly UV protection “Sun Emulsion SPF 50” from Skinome

Skin-friendly UV protection is essential to keep the skin young and healthy. However, organic chemical filters in particular can do more harm than good and trigger allergies, especially in sensitive people. If they also contain fragrances and preservatives, they add to the problem. The Swedish Beauty-Brand Skinome s committed to being “skin-friendly”, even when it comes to sun care. For more than 10 years, brand founder Dr. Johanna Gillbro, an experimental and clinical dermatologist, has been researching healthy stimulants for intact skin flora. Her microbiome-friendly active care made from freshly manufactured products is based on her own specially developed laboratory formulations. Skin-friendly UV protection protects the microbiome In March 2024, the Sun Emulsion SPF50+ skincare product based on the latest research will be launched. The skin-friendly UV protection is based on Skinome’s concept of fresh, microbiome-friendly and unscented skincare without unnecessary additives and preservatives so as not to disrupt the skin’s own microbiome. The emulsion is designed to reduce the risk of UV-induced signs of ageing such as wrinkles, pigmentation spots and broken veins. I was allowed to test it in advance. “It is above all the UV filters that make the product unique. With our combination of the best and safest mineral and organic UV filters, you benefit from the advantages of both filter types, resulting in safe and secure sun protection that is also pleasant and comfortable to use,” explains Ulf Åkerström, Chief Innovation Officer at Skinome and one of Sweden’s leading sun protection experts. Skin-friendly UV protection protects the environment Skinome uses these innovative large molecule organic filters that are non-hormonally active while providing photostable and balanced UVA and UVB protection. The mineral filters and the latest and most advanced organic UV filters have better environmental properties to minimize the impact of the product on the environment. I like the minimalist concept of Skinome and the clever dispenser. No fiddly opening of the tube or jar. With a single twist of the cap, the dispenser nozzle is “on” and it is just as easy to close again. The texture is extremely light for a sun cream and is beautifully matt on the skin. I use it as my only day cream because it contains sufficient moisturizing ingredients such as lecithin, urea and ceramides. As long as my skin is not yet tinted by the sun, I mix in my favorite tanning drops from Oskia London – and the sunkissed look is complete.… weiterlesen

Has Reliability Become Uncool?

Reliability has always been important to me. It’s just the way I was brought up – what you promise, you have to keep. Typically German, say the Italians in the country where I now live most of the year. If I promise someone that I’ll be there on a certain day at a certain time, I’m usually there a little earlier. If I don’t want to do something, I say so. If I really can’t keep an appointment for good reason, I let them know in good time. But I have the feeling that reliability is now out of fashion, a relic of outdated parenting methods and even evidence of philistinism. Simply uncool! Reliability? Not a chance! I experience it again and again and more and more often. liability is no longer in vogue. Appointments are made but not kept. Is it just me, I sometimes ask myself. Or have you experienced this too? There’s the friend who, even before Corona, always promised to visit me in the countryside for a walk with our dogs. First Corona was a good excuse, then the Pilates course came in between, the sick uncle and so on. Appointments were made and then canceled – usually on the day of the appointment – or not at all. Nevertheless, a promise was always made for the next weekend (“but then I’ll definitely come”), which was never kept. With certain people, I no longer respond to such declarations of intent. But this lack of reliability is not limited to the private sphere. Take the restaurant at Wörthsee in Upper Bavaria, for example, where I had booked a table and left my name and telephone number. When we stood in front of the door that evening, the restaurant was closed – for whatever reason. But nobody had thought it necessary to let me know. A headache or a new lover Or the other friend with whom I made a firm appointment for a dog walk at her suggestion. She canceled two hours beforehand with a headache because the weather had changed. However, she had already warned me the evening before that if it rained, she would be a wimp and wouldn’t come. I could have guessed that. Another example for a lack of reliability: A colleague had arranged to go shopping together. She simply didn’t show up on the agreed morning and, when I asked her, claimed that it hadn’t been arranged.… weiterlesen

Tested for you: Miracle pants “Lymph O Fit” by Vera Meyer

The miracle pants were widely advertised online. This aroused my curiosity because the trousers are supposed to act like a kind of lymphatic drainage. And I could really use that after my hip operation. The miracle of the pants, which look like normal leggings, is the nubs on the inside. The nubs inside the miracle pants are so fine that you can’t see any of them on the outside of the elastic material. But with every step and even more so with every sporting activity, these nubs become active. They move the layers of tissue between each other. In this way, they have a positive effect on lymph congestion, varicose veins, spider veins, cellulite, lymphoedema, lipoedema and weak venous valves. A kind of compression with a simultaneous massage takes place. Miracle pants for more beautiful and healthier legs The pants are easy to put on and take off. No hard work like with fitted compression pants. They are 100% breathable and fit perfectly. You can wear them on their own or as a supplement. Now in winter I use them to wear underneath my regular trousers. It is important that the miracle pants fit comfortably and not too tightly, because it is not about maximum pressure. On the contrary. The pimples need space to work optimally. So make sure you order the right size. The pants must go well over the abdominal center of gravity. This is where most of the lymph nodes and lymph channels are located, between the navel and pubic bone. This is why this area is also known as the watershed and the inguinal nodes. Correct measurement The lymph nodes and the pathways in the hollow of the knee are drained up to the ankles when the wonder pants are worn. This creates a suction effect that stimulates lymph flow throughout the body. To guarantee the optimum fit, it is best to measure three circumferences on the body. 1. waist – belly button height, 2. hips – belly button height and 3. the thickest part of the thigh. Always measure a little tight. If you are between two sizes, it is better to order the larger size. I wear M and ordered L – in my favorite pattern Leo, by the way. But they are also available in a single color. The wonder pants fit perfectly and don’t restrict me – neither in everyday life nor during sports.… weiterlesen

Tested for you: radiant complexion with “Glow Drops” from Typology

A radiant complexion drop by drop. Yes, that’s what I want – and not just for major holidays and festive occasions, but every day. This means that the glow on my face must not be too penetrating and conspicuous, but must look beautifully subtle. A real radiant complexion. And I have found my perfect recipe for this: Duo for a radiant complexion For my radiant complexion I use the “Glow Concentrate 5% Vitamin C + Aloe Vera” (Glow Drops) and the “9-Ingredient Facial Care”. Both from Typololy. It is the perfect duo for an instant, vibrant glow to the skin. All tiredness disappears from the face. The “Glow Concentrate” contains antioxidant vitamin C and aloe vera for a fresh radiance. The mica particles still look very intensely shimmering in the bottle, but as soon as you use the pipette to mix two to three drops into your foundation, tinted serum or day cream, the shine factor is minimized. In this way, you can also determine the intensity of your glow yourself. For a more intense result, simply add a few more drops. Because I’m not a foundation user, I use Typology’s “9-Ingredient” moisturizer with hyaluronic acid, which is derived from fermented wheat. Another key ingredient is organic coconut oil, which nourishes the skin and prevents it from drying out. I find the minimalist, fragrance-free cream perfect for me because of its light, non-oily texture. This makes it suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin. Good mixture For my personal glow complexion, I put 3-4 Glow Drops in the palm of my hand and mix them with a hazelnut-sized amount of moisturizer. I prefer to use a small spatula for mixing to get a homogeneous amount. I spread it evenly over the entire face. For an extra kick, I also apply a little of the shine concentrate as a highlighter – selectively on the highest point of the cheekbones and/or under both brow arches. In the evening, I cleanse my face as usual with micellar water. For environmental reasons, I use reusable pads that my sister made for me. Not only are they practical, they also look pretty in the bathroom. Hydrating Glow Duo from Typology consisting of “Glow Concentrate 5% Vitamin C + Aloe Vera”, 15ml, and “9-Ingredient Facial Care”, 50 ml. Together 39.80 euros, en.typology.com… weiterlesen

Tested for you: Orange for the lips “Liquid Lipstick Pure Orange” by La Biosthétique
