Tested for you: Sensitive Skin “Comforting Light Fluid” by La Biosthétique
Sensitive skin after summer. Why has my skin suddenly become so sensitive? Certain products or environmental factors can be triggers for this. These include, for example, surfactants, fragrances, perfumes, and even skincare products, but sun, cold, and wind can also cause irritation. Age can also bring about corresponding changes.
Sensitive skin after summer
If your skin is sensitive after exposure to the summer sun, it definitely needs intensive moisture and soothing care, as UV light, sweat, and salt water can dry out and irritate the skin. Cleansing with an extra-mild formula containing moisturizing plant-based oils, for example, is the right choice now. For exfoliation, choose gentle enzymes. Do not use scrub granules! Moisturizing creams with lipids that strengthen the skin and its hydrolipid barrier can help to stabilize it.
When my skin is out of balance, I don’t like to experiment with products from different lines. I always use a single series in which the individual care steps are coordinated in terms of their active ingredients. “Methode Sensitive” by La Biosthétique is a line that is tailored to the special needs of sensitive skin.
Prebiotic for a healthy microbiome
In addition to the cleansing products, an enzyme peeling mask, and the Comforting Oil Ampoules, I am particularly impressed by the prebiotic Comforting Light Fluid. What exactly does prebiotic mean? These are substances that serve as food for the “good” bacteria on the skin, stimulating their growth while keeping harmful microorganisms at bay. Prebiotics create a healthy environment on the skin in which the skin’s own microbiome can develop optimally.
The facial fluid for sensitive skin stabilizes the healthy skin flora and counteracts irritation. Phytosterols from rapeseed bind moisture and strengthen the skin’s barrier layer. They reduce inflammation and soothe irritation. Resurrection plant extract supports this effect by increasing and maintaining skin moisture. Squalane, plant-based fatty acids, and lecithin combine with the natural hydrolipid layer and promote tissue elasticity.
I apply the fluid to my face, neck, and décolleté in the morning and evening after cleansing and toning. The lightness of this skincare product is particularly pleasant. It moisturizes without leaving a creamy feeling on the skin, and it absorbs super quickly.

La Biosthétique – more than just hair care
Anyone who classifies La Biosthétique as a hair care brand is not entirely wrong. That is indeed how the brand became famous. Its origins actually lie in hair care. Over seven decades ago, French biochemist Marcel Contier revolutionized the world of hair care with an approach that was as simple as it was ingenious: combining “bios,” meaning life, with “esthétique,” meaning aesthetics. His philosophy: “Those who care for a person’s hair caress their soul.”
La Biosthétique has been a family business since 1948. Marcel Contier and Siegfried Weiser worked together to turn it into a successful brand. The two families worked side by side until the Weiser family took over La Biosthétique completely. Inspired by the holistic nature of all life, they developed product lines that view the body not as the sum of its individual parts, but as a whole.
From the scalp to the tips of the toes – the focus is on complete skin and hair care. Research and development always prioritizes products that have a lasting effect rather than just a temporary one. La Biosthétique attaches great importance to resource-saving production, environmental protection, and promoting a more sustainable lifestyle.

CultureAndCream Author from Munich
To travel during my profession as a beauty journalist was never enough for my. Also my six month on a world trip didn’t do it. It always attracts me to other cities, foreign countries, on roadtrips and places I don’t know yet. But I am not only interested in “culture” and “cream”, I am also fascinated by people who have stories to tell . Such unique experiences I want to share with you.
