Movie enthusiasts know well that the city has been one of the popular filming locations for Hollywood productions because of its striking cityscapes and unique areas that surround it. One of the productions filmed here is the upcoming David Leitch film “The Fall Guy”, which stars Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. The action comedy used several filming locations across the city, including the pedestrian zone Martin Place, the Sydney Opera House, and the suburb of Kurnell. Some of the scenes were also shot at the Disney Studios, Moore Park in Sydney.
One of the most anticipated premieres of 2024, “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga”, starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth, was shot entirely in the state of New South Wales, including its capital Sydney. Along with Kurnell, the other suburb that served as a set to the movie, was Melrose Park.
