Tested for you: Eye cream “DetO2x Eye” from Valmont

A new eye cream that finally evens out my dark circles? Not an easy task. Because my dark circles have been with me all my life. No matter how much I sleep, party or work. The rings are the heritage of my grandmother – who, however, throughout her life did not worry about the shadows under her eyes. On the contrary: as a young woman, she often acted and used the slightly wicked touch that the rings under her eyes gave her to role-play effectively. Eye cream with apple stem cells I have also made friends with them. But the concept of Valmont’s new “DetO2x Eye” does interest me: It is supposed to activate the skin’s oxygen supply via a CO2 complex and make the eye area glow beautifully again – within 15 minutes. And thanks to the apple stem cells of a particularly resistant Swiss variety à la longue, it is supposed to stimulate cell renewal. The “circle” test When unscrewing the jar, this eye cream already shows that it is something special. Instead of the usual cream or fluid texture, it reveals a fluffy mousse-like consistency, like you’d find in the line’s face cream. Upon application, you can feel (and hear) the little oxygen bubbles – it feels light and cool. The eye cream smells only delicately floral, but fresh. And there’s something else you notice immediately: that you’ve taken far too much – because the eye cream is extremely productive. It is nevertheless quickly absorbed and leaves a slight feeling of tension, which is not unpleasant – but rather has a “hello awake” effect. The eye area feels pleasantly soft and supple, and actually looks somehow tightened. Afterwards make-up is no problem, because the cream is not greasy. My conclusion Radiant eye area? Check! Small wrinkles conjured away? Yess! Circles under the eyes? Well… to be honest, they are not gone. But: they seem somewhat softened, because the skin really shines, which makes the area look much fresher. And to the honorary rescue one must say: Eye circles can be also genetically caused (the grandma!) and thus cream-resistant. That’s why mine just belong to me. Eye circles, however, which are caused by stress or environmental influences, will certainly be less. P.S. The cream is definitely at the upper end of the price range – but, as I said before: It is very economical and, it sounds crazy, but through the foam texture you almost have the feeling that it refills itself again and again.… weiterlesen

Tested for you: “Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream” von Biossance

Welcome to a new eye cream: Under the motto Clean Beauty meets Science, the hyped US skincare brand Biossance has also been on the market in Germany since September 2022. The Californian brand was founded in Emeryville in 2016. From the beginning, the scientists had one goal in mind. They wanted to solve a problem that has long existed in the cosmetics industry: many ingredients are unsustainable and can even harm the earth and the oceans. Just one example of this is the molecule squalene (Latin for shark), which is very popular in skin care products. It occurs naturally in the liver of sharks. Two million of these marine animals were killed for it every year. Squalane from sugar cane Biossance scientists have developed a highly effective ingredient with almost the same sounding, but still completely different squalane, for which no shark has to die anymore. Squalane, on which the entire care series is based, is vegan. It is obtained 100% from plant sugar cane. Squalene is also a natural component of the skin and is produced by the body itself. However, over the years, our own production continues to decline. A substitute is the plant helper squalane, which is bioidentical to the squalene in our skin, and offers the same benefits as squalene: It moisturizes, soothes and protects without clogging the pores. Creamy light eye cream My favorite from the beauty line is the “Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream”. The apricot-colored eye cream is creamy light, non-greasy and absorbs very quickly. Pleasant also that it is odorless. In the morning after toner and in the evening after cleansing, the sensitive eye area is supplied with moisture around the clock. With my ring finger, I take up a small amount at a time and distribute it under and over the eyes up to the brow arches. The moisture plumps up small lines. And best of all, the eye cream is also a perfect base when I apply eyeliner afterwards. It lasts much longer and does not smudge. A tip for all beauty fans: At least as essential as the selection of the products themselves is the correct order in which the products are applied. To ensure that the care reaches its maximum potential and can be absorbed effortlessly, always start with the lightest products and end with the richest care. The only exception is sunscreen – always apply it at the end.… weiterlesen

Tested for you: Doctor Duve „Phytoceutix Eye Cream & Mask“

I love duo products. If only because I enjoy traveling a lot – preferably with minimal luggage. That’s why I was particularly interested in “Phytoceutix Eye Cream & Mask”. Eye cream and eye mask in one. Let’s first take a look at the ingredients: BioNymph Peptides, Shea Butter and Hibiscus Vita. I find a new active ingredient particularly exciting: Vigna Aconitifolia Seed Extract, a vegetable retionol that acts as a wrinkle smoother and is considered to be well tolerated by the skin. It is supported by hibiscus, a substance that is not only responsible for the moisture effect. It is also known – a little exaggerated – as the botox plant, because the essences obtained from the flowers contain active substances inhibit elastase. It is the enzyme that is responsible for the breakdown of collagen in the skin. Accordingly, the botox plant should counteract the loss of elasticity of the skin tissue. I’m looking forward to what the cream can do for my skin! The first grip in the jar the white texture appears slightly pasty. Little remains of the product on the fingertip. But this is not bad either, because that way an “overdose” does not end up under the eyes. The product can then be smoothly spread on the skin, is quickly absorbed without shining and provides moisture. The first wrinkles of dryness are actually balanced after four weeks of use. I guess I still have to be patient with the tightening effect. The mask function impresses me more anyway. One should apply the cream 1-2 times a week in a slightly thicker layer, let it work for 10 minutes and then dab off the excess. I apply it in the evening as recommended – on the lower and also on the upper eyelids – but not too thick and I let it work in overnight. I use it every other day and I love it, because the next morning I see a brightly rested area of the eyes in the mirror. I will definitely pack this jar for my next trip.
