Tested for you: UV protection “Daily Defense Face Mousse SPF 50 from Evy

UV protection in winter? I only need it when skiing or in the mountains. I hear that all the time. But it’s wrong. Because even if the tanning UVB rays have little effect in the winter months, the skin needs protection to prevent premature ageing. We are constantly exposed to UVA light. These deep-penetrating rays even penetrate glass. They reach us in closed rooms and also behind the windshield of our car. This radiation reaches so deep into the skin layers that it is the cause of pigmentation spots and wrinkles. It also causes a loss of elasticity because collagen is broken down more quickly. And this happens regardless of whether the sun is shining outside or not. Dermatologists agree that more than 90 percent of the symptoms of skin ageing are caused by UV radiation. UV protection in winter Now you might think that it is enough to use a day cream and make-up with an uv protection factor in the cold season. This is also wrong. In winter it simply has to be a little more. The difference between a real sun protection product and a day cream with SPF is that the day cream was simply not designed as sun protection, but primarily pursues other goals such as moisturizing the skin, for example. This is why such a cream often does not offer sufficient sun protection, especially against the deep-penetrating UVA rays. Incidentally, protection against UVA rays is measured in relation to the SPF value. If you want to achieve comprehensive UVA protection for your skin, you should use a classified sunscreen. UV protection mousse with SPF 50 There are several good reasons why I chose the “Daily Defense Face Mousse SPF 50”, especially in the winter months: The mousse has a pleasant texture. It comes out of the dispenser fluffy and compact, i.e. not runny. I don’t like it when a product runs through my fingers. The airy foam spreads smoothly over the face and has an intensive moisturizing effect on the skin. The complexion is beautifully matt afterwards and doesn’t look greasy – very important! The UV protection mousse is quickly absorbed and acts like a primer. The skin not only receives the highest possible UVA protection according to the Boots Star Rating Test and PA+ Test, but is also protected against HEV/blue light. This is not only found in the natural light spectrum, but is also emitted by screens.… weiterlesen

Tested for you: Skin-friendly UV protection “Sun Emulsion SPF 50” from Skinome

Skin-friendly UV protection is essential to keep the skin young and healthy. However, organic chemical filters in particular can do more harm than good and trigger allergies, especially in sensitive people. If they also contain fragrances and preservatives, they add to the problem. The Swedish Beauty-Brand Skinome s committed to being “skin-friendly”, even when it comes to sun care. For more than 10 years, brand founder Dr. Johanna Gillbro, an experimental and clinical dermatologist, has been researching healthy stimulants for intact skin flora. Her microbiome-friendly active care made from freshly manufactured products is based on her own specially developed laboratory formulations. Skin-friendly UV protection protects the microbiome In March 2024, the Sun Emulsion SPF50+ skincare product based on the latest research will be launched. The skin-friendly UV protection is based on Skinome’s concept of fresh, microbiome-friendly and unscented skincare without unnecessary additives and preservatives so as not to disrupt the skin’s own microbiome. The emulsion is designed to reduce the risk of UV-induced signs of ageing such as wrinkles, pigmentation spots and broken veins. I was allowed to test it in advance. “It is above all the UV filters that make the product unique. With our combination of the best and safest mineral and organic UV filters, you benefit from the advantages of both filter types, resulting in safe and secure sun protection that is also pleasant and comfortable to use,” explains Ulf Åkerström, Chief Innovation Officer at Skinome and one of Sweden’s leading sun protection experts. Skin-friendly UV protection protects the environment Skinome uses these innovative large molecule organic filters that are non-hormonally active while providing photostable and balanced UVA and UVB protection. The mineral filters and the latest and most advanced organic UV filters have better environmental properties to minimize the impact of the product on the environment. I like the minimalist concept of Skinome and the clever dispenser. No fiddly opening of the tube or jar. With a single twist of the cap, the dispenser nozzle is “on” and it is just as easy to close again. The texture is extremely light for a sun cream and is beautifully matt on the skin. I use it as my only day cream because it contains sufficient moisturizing ingredients such as lecithin, urea and ceramides. As long as my skin is not yet tinted by the sun, I mix in my favorite tanning drops from Oskia London – and the sunkissed look is complete.… weiterlesen

Tested for you: Tinted Sunscreen „FusionWater COLOR SPF 50“ from Isdin

My sunscreen? Recently, the beauty editor of “Modepilot” asked me for a statement about my favorite sun protection product. I didn’t have to think long about it. “Fusion Water” by Isdin – and specifically the tinted version with SPF 50. Tinted sunscreen for everyday What I find so great about it? “Fusion Water Color” is a tinted sunscreen for the face. It has an ultra-light formula that protects the skin from UVB and UVA rays with SPF 50. I use the medium tone out of the three available shades Light, Medium and Bronze. And that summer and winter. As a no-makeup woman, some days when my skin isn’t quite at peace with itself, I’m grateful for the product’s natural coverage, which conceals imperfections and evens out skin tone. The lightweight fluid gives the complexion a silky matte finish and a delicate fresh feeling. It absorbs instantly without leaving a greasy sheen or unpleasant residue. It gives the complexion a natural glow. Important for someone like me who has sensitive eyes: The sunscreen does not irritate the eyes. By the way, if the coverage is not enough, you can also use “Fusion Water Color” as a base for your foundation. In town and on the beach “Fusion Water Color” is my constant UV protection in everyday life, but also when it comes to swimming at the lake or beach. I apply it generously to dry skin half an hour before sun exposure. Generously, because reducing the amount also means reducing the protection factor. By the way, the product also works on damp skin. Practical, because every two hours, as well as after swimming, when you sweat or dried with a towel, the protection should be renewed in the summer. Dose sunscreen correctly How to dose the tinted sunscreen? The right amount for the face is achieved by spreading two lines of the product on two fingers. This is then applied evenly to the face, neck, nape of the neck and ears. The formulations of Isdin sunscreen products, tested in compliance with international guidelines, are also Sea Friendly. This means that they do not affect microalgae in the sea. After all, these are a fundamental part of a healthy ecosystem in the oceans. Isdin collaborates with CSIC, the Spanish National Research Council (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas). Specifically, they support the Colplai project led by Dr. Cristina Romera. The marine scientist says, “Together with Isdin, we are making progress in research on the degradation of plastics in the oceans.“… weiterlesen

Testet for you: Estée Lauder „Perfectionist Pro Aqua UV Gel SPF 50“

With UV filters, my skin has its problems. Depending on them more than they irritation speak small red spots and clogged pores. I would take that as proof of just how stressful chemical filter systems are on the skin. My beautician Julia has to fight the consequences every time again and again. But because uv protection is a must, I’ve tried countless products. Including mineral filters. Nearly none of them passed the test. If they don’t cause pimples, they leave white traces or an unsightly greasy sheen in the higher filter area, which I don’t even tolerate on the beach. For this reason, I was extremely excited about the new product from Estée Lauder’s Perfectionist series. So light on the skin The “Aqua UV-Gel” lives up to its name. The gel emulsion comes out of the tube whitish, but is water light and becomes immediately transparent when spread on the skin. In addition, it leaves the face with a pleasantly refreshing feeling of moisture. No ugly whitening effect despite SPF 50. The 100% mineral-based light protection creates a silky veil that protects the skin from UVA / UVB exposure. The light glow makes the complexion beautifully summery. Anti-irritants like algae extract and caffeine prevent stains and blemishes. They help my skin feel relaxed and calm. What I also like is that the gel formula not only prevents UV damage, but is also equipped with eight anti-oxidants such as tiger lily extract, vitamins C and E, resveratrol and green tea extract. As a result, the skin is protected from environmental pollution such. B. effectively protected by ozone, smoke, infrared and fine dust. I’ve been using the Aqua Gel for four weeks now and applied it every morning as the last step in my skin care routine. No sticky feeling, no clogged pores. I’m curious what my beautician will say at our next appointment. Estée Lauder “Perfectionist Pro Aqua UV Gel SPF 50“, 30 ml, 45 US $… weiterlesen
