Tested for you: Peeling for day and night

Peeling is part of every skincare routine, as nothing can cleanse the skin more deeply at home. This type of facial cleansing gently removes dead cells from the skin so that the complexion looks fresh and vital again. Peelings are now available for use during the day and also with an overnight effect. I have tried one of each of these deep cleansing products. Peeling for the day: „Tri Active Glow Peel“ from Royal Fern Skincare The skin-refining facial peel from Munich dermatologist Dr. Timm Golüke is based on a triple-action formula for maximum results. He says: ‘”I developed the Tri Active Glow Peel to provide a professional peeling effect at home.” It combines three types of exfoliation: chemical, enzymatic and mechanical. The chemical peel is based on a potent blend of 12 percent AHA and PHA. It penetrates deeply to loosen dead skin cells, refine the texture and promote cell regeneration. The enzymatic peeling with fermented radish root enzymes gently dissolves impurities and leaves the skin looking clear and refreshed. The third is a mechanical peeling. Using ultra-fine bamboo powder, it polishes the complexion and ensures an instantly silky-smooth finish. Peeling with triple power I use the scrub once or twice a week and apply the pleasantly creamy texture to my face, neck and décolleté, avoiding the eye area of course. After about three minutes, I start massaging in circular motions with damp hands, then rinse the scrub off thoroughly with lukewarm water. The acids in the “Tri Active Glow Peel” immediately make my skin look fresher and more even. With regular use, the glycolic acid helps to lighten dark spots and inhibits pigmentation. Tartaric acid, a natural AHA, also contributes to a brighter complexion and promotes cell regeneration. It also helps to balance the skin’s pH value and improves moisture retention. It also has antioxidant properties. Gluconolactones belong to the group of PHAs (polyhydroxy acids). Due to its molecular size, the acid can penetrate less deeply into the skin. Compared to other acids, it is gentler and therefore also suitable for sensitive skin to smooth the surface and remove dead cells. As acids are known to increase UV sensitivity, I make sure I spend less time in the sun. Sun protection is of course a must for me every day. „Tri Active Glow Peel“ von Royal Fern Skincare, 100ml , 95 Euro Peeling for the night: „63 Overnight Peeling Lotion“ from Maria Galland The overnight product is ideal for those who want to make less effort when cleansing their face.… weiterlesen

Tested for you: „Enzyme Peeling Powder“ from A4 Cosmetics

Enzyme peelings are the alternative to mechanical scrub preparations. Mechanical means that the product works with small abrasive particles to remove dead flakes and superficial calluses from the skin. These consist of sugar, crushed almond or cherry kernels or rice bran, for example. However, there are also rub-on particles made from microplastics. These could cause micro-injuries to the skin due to the sharp edges and are also bad for the environment. The plastic particles are insoluble in water, difficult to break down and can accumulate in the organisms of aquatic animals. Complete chemical degradation can take several hundred years. It is therefore essential to buy products without microplastics! Enzymes provide the exfoliating effect For me, only enzyme peelings come into question anyway, because I don’t like the rubbing feeling on the skin. Instead of abrasive particles, an enzyme peeling contains activating enzymes that gently remove dead skin cells. I tested the Enzyme Peeling from A4 Cosmetics. It is a mild cleanser that also tightens the pores. The pack contains 15 small sachets containing a fine white powder. If you don’t use the entire contents with every application, the 15 sachets are sufficient for approx. 30-45 applications. To use, open the sachet and sprinkle the required amount of powder onto the palm of your hand. Mix it with a few drops of lukewarm water. It is important to find the optimum mixing ratio. Too much will make the powder too runny, too little will cause it to clump. The gentle cleansing When properly foamed, it creates a pleasantly creamy substance that can be easily spread over the moistened face, neck and décolleté. Always avoid the eye area! Gently massage in the enzyme peeling and then rinse off with lukewarm water. My skin looks fresh and clear afterwards. However, it also feels a little dry and requires a day or night cream, depending on when I had time for the peeling. In any case, you should not exfoliate more than once or twice a week. A4’s active ingredient care also lives up to its claim of natural-based active ingredients in the Enzyme Peeling. The exfoliating powder is full of goodies: Eco-certified argan oil. With an extremely high vitamin A and E content, it stimulates cell activity and renewal. Caffeine supports this effect. Activating enzymes gently remove dead skin cells. Aloe vera from controlled organic cultivation also moisturizes the skin. Argan fruit peels dissolve keratinized cells and impurities and stimulate the skin’s cell activity.… weiterlesen

Tested for you: Peeling “Restorative Dual Acid Peel” by Kat Burki

The peeling that I currently use comes from an American natural cosmetics line, which is still little known in our country. Among insiders, however, Kat Burki is already considered a high-flyer. The nutritionist, who worked in the healthcare sector after completing her studies, has acquired a complex knowledge of nutrition and health over many years. From this background, Burki founded her own cosmetics brand in 2013, bringing the latest research findings to the development of her innovative beauty products. In the meantime, celebs such as Emily Blunt, Naomi Watts and Emma Willis – to name a few – are among the avowed Burki users. Nutrient complex replaces water What makes Kat Burki’s skincare so special is that it does not use the fillers commonly found in cosmetic formulas, such as water, silicone or alcohol. Instead, each of her products is enriched with a synergistic super-nutrient complex. Instead of water, Burki uses a proprietary KB5 complex that supports skin elasticity and collagen production. It also stimulates microcirculation and strengthens the walls of small capillaries. Burki chooses each active ingredient very consciously. All of them are highly active ingredients such as antioxidants, vitamins – especially vitamin C and B vitamins – plant stem cells, silk amino acids, neuropeptides, etc.. In the various combinations, they reinforce each other’s power. In this way, “super active ingredients” with immediate effect and long-lasting anti-aging effect are created. All ingredients are free of animal testing and genetic engineering, come from organic cultivation and wild collection. “Cold process” for more product effectiveness It is also interesting that Kat Burki has introduced the first certified “cold process” in the cosmetics world. This means that all products are manufactured at low temperature. This ensures that the maximum effectiveness of all ingredients is preserved, because high temperatures reduce the quality and effect of vitamins, oils and antioxidants. Therefore, the cold-pressed oils contained in the rich formulas are extremely potent. Deep glycolic peeling The “Restorative Dual Acid Peel” is a retexturizing anti-aging treatment with dual benefits: It regenerates and soothes the skin at the same time. The glycolic acid in the peeling reduces sun damage. Plant-derived hyaluronic acid from the seeds of the Alexandrine senna refines skin texture and smoothes fine lines and wrinkles. Avocado oil, again obtained in a cold process, vitalizes the skin cells. Works better with a brush Meanwhile, I use the glycolic peeling for a month once or twice a week.… weiterlesen
