A cover cream for the body that invisibly covers spider veins, tattoos, scars and anything else you don’t want to show and is also waterproof. At least that’s what the Orgrul brand promised on social media with impressive before-and-after examples. Sounded interesting at first, so I ordered the product. The price was also okay. But… Fooled again! For me, Eelhoe’s cover cream is yet more proof that the World Wide Web is full of lies and manipulation on social media. And it is patient. I wanted to cover a darkly pigmented, larger spot on my left forearm that had developed after a deeper injury. Cover cream for every skin tone I read the following about the cover cream: natural and healthy ingredients. But I can’t find out what these are. It also provides the skin with various moisturizing factors that give the surface a natural glow. The product is waterproof and the coverage lasts all day. The color adapts to the skin and is suitable for all skin tones. I also read the application instructions carefully and followed them religiously: Cleanse the skin. Apply the cover cream to the areas to be covered using your fingers or a larger brush. Then leave the product to dry on the skin for ten minutes. If more coverage is required, a second layer can be applied, which should also be left to dry for 10 minutes. Finally, wipe over the treated area with a paper towel, towel or glove to remove excess Cover Cream – until nothing “rubs off”. Texture much too light So far, so good. The texture of the cream that I squeeze out of the purple tube seems very light to me – too light for my naturally tinted skin. But it is supposed to adapt to every color type. So I apply it with my fingertips to the darkly pigmented area on my forearm. The cover cream forms a very light, almost white patch. I wait the prescribed 10 minutes. Nothing changes. Then I carefully wipe my forearm with a soft guest towel to remove any product residue. And what emerges? The dark spot, clearly visible, is covered by a fine white layer. Retinol has long been considered state-of-the-art in anti-aging skin care. There is hardly a skincare series today that does not include a retinol product. Why? Powder bronzer belong with me very high on the hit list of my most important makeup products. Since I do not use foundation and blush only in extremely rare pale moments, I am a total fan of powder bronzer. Because they have an advantage that can’t be topped by anything: You achieve the coveted sunkissed complexion quickly and easily, without looking made up and unnatural. 365 days powder bronzer I use powder bronzer all year round. For example, if the winter was too long and my skin looks pale. In summer, I use it to prolong the vacation glow, and after a too-short night, it conjures up freshness on my face. My sunscreen? Recently, the beauty editor of “Modepilot” asked me for a statement about my favorite sun protection product. I didn’t have to think long about it. “Fusion Water” by Isdin – and specifically the tinted version with SPF 50. Tinted sunscreen for everyday What I find so great about it? “Fusion Water Color” is a tinted sunscreen for the face. It has an ultra-light formula that protects the skin from UVB and UVA rays with SPF 50. I use the medium tone out of the three available shades Light, Medium and Bronze. And that summer and winter. As a no-makeup woman, some days when my skin isn’t quite at peace with itself, I’m grateful for the product’s natural coverage, which conceals imperfections and evens out skin tone. When I think about how my taste in fragrances and in men has changed over the years, I recognize certain parallels. When I look back at the perfumes that have accompanied me through the various stages of my life, I wonder about some of them: How could I! It is similar with the exes. On the other hand, in a certain situation I felt exactly well with it/with him. In fact, my love for fragrance began very early. Plundering mother’s rose garden I was just four years young when I discovered a passion for perfuming. To do so, I raided my mother’s rose garden and soaked the red and pink petals in water. However, out of pure love for me, my mother was also the only one who used my “fragrance waters” – or at least she pretended to. When I was eight, I was deeply in love with my handsome father. I attributed the fact that I thought he loved my mother more than me to a little square magic bottle she kept secret in her dressing table. One evening, my parents had just left the house in big ball gowns, I sneaked into their bedroom and opened the drawer where the supposed treasure was kept. I perfumed myself lavishly in front of the big mirror with Chanel No. 5 – with the result that my nanny then put me in the bathtub and scrubbed me down rudely. My first own fragrance As the years went by, the infatuation for my father diminished and that for an older boy from the neighboring high school increased. I was 13 and ready for my first own perfume – I was convinced of that. I smelled “Jil Sander Sun” on my best friend, who was really cool, a bit older and already had a steady boyfriend. My godmother gave it to me for my name day after I didn’t let up. I felt totally grown up with it, and yet its sweetish soft note was something that connected me with my childhood, which was not yet completely stripped. At 17, I met my first great love. It was meant to be forever and ever. What fragrance would have fit better than “Eternity” by Calvin Klein. But my eternity only lasted a good year.
